We offer two services 1) Rewriting and 2) Proofreading / Text Proofing.

 

1.  REWRITING / REVISING INCLUDING GHOSTWRITING: We specialize in  rewriting your material to produce professionally crafted  text that clearly and concisely conveys your message with optimum effect.

 

CONTENT: Primarily non fiction including some technical fields.  LEGAL - we also do legal briefs, memoranda, etc. - click here for info on legal work.

 

PROJECTS:  ANY size, any text,  for any medium including websites.  However, we do not do papers for academic course work, such as term papers, etc.

We will gladly demonstrate our Rewrite Service for you on a sample of your text.  Please note that our guarantee makes all our work a sample until you’re satisfied.  

STANDARD RATE: $30/hour in quarter hour increments with a half hour minimum. 

2.  PROOFREADING / TEXT PROOFING: We call this “TextProofing” because it requires far more skill and literacy than the traditional cleanup of typos and misspelled words.  Our highly literate Text Proofers spot wrong word usage and other errors missed  by spell and grammar checkers or by others. 

Here are just a few examples of wrong word usages not picked up by spell and grammar checkers: in/on/an, in/if/is/it, be/by, rain/rein/reign, to/too/two, for/far/fag/fog/fob, buy/but/butt, did/dig/dog/god, principal/principle and all plural versus possessive forms.

NOTE:  If we determine that your text would benefit significantly from our rewrite service we will discuss that with you so that you can choose the level of service you want. 

 

RATE: $2.00 / page We  return 2 files, one with revisions in red and one in final form with all black text.

 

OUR GUARANTEE: We do our very best to turn out the highest quality finished product. We guarantee that If you’re not completely satisfied with the finished product and our price, then you pay what you think is fair.  Adjustments must be requested within 72 hours of receiving the final file.

 

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?  It depends on the amount and quality of your text as well as how fast you need it.  The finest polish takes longer because it’s best to let projects rest for a day or two and then come back with fresh eyes for another review.  We prefer to do this at least once and preferably a couple of times until we’re satisfied.  We also welcome rush jobs and will meet your schedule whenever possible.

Line Spacing: double spaced      

Required Page Format: standard letter size page with 1 inch margins all around

 

FORMATTING OF FINISHED PRODUCT:  We will provide your finished product in the  font and format you request, provided that you also include in your submission a separate attachment with your text in the desired font and format.

 

ONE VITAL FINAL NOTE: It is absolutely essential that the final file we return to you be used ONLY as a stand alone file and NOT merged or incorporated into any other file or program.  We’ve learned by sad experience that whenever one file is merged into another something almost always gets badly messed up.
